Since moving to Creston, I have spoken many times about how amazing and friendly the people of this town are. I have been awed by the generosity this town has shown towards residents and strangers. But I am completely blown away by the generosity I was able to witness while planning the first annual Juice FM Holiday Jam. In partnership with the East Kootenay Foundation for Health, Pealow's Your Independent Grocer, and Juice FM, and with the generosity of the people of Creston, we raised over $22,000 for our local hospital!!! More than double our goal! Not only did we blow our goal of $10,000 out of the water, we also had an amazing night in Spirit Square, hanging out with local band Just Us, Cranbrook band Dawson Rutledge, Santa, the Creston Fire Department, and so many friends from Creston! We shared hotdogs, hot chocolate and laughs. We had elves roaming around making sure nobody left without a candy cane. And the weather could not have been better! In addition to those listed about, a huge thank you goes to: The Town of Creston, Jimmy's Pub, Tigz Design, the Creston Farmer's Market, Amy at the Info Centre, and everyone else who made this happen. You are all awesome, and I cannot wait for next year!!!

As AM Event Coordination went from a dream to reality, I was provided so much support and encouragement from the community of Creston. People have been so amazing attending the events I've created, offering advice, and just being nice. I have spent a lot of time trying to figure out how best I can give the love and support I have received back, and about a month ago, the perfect opportunity presented itself in the form of the Juice FM Holiday Jam!!
AM Event Coordination is so pleased to be working with Juice FM, Pealow's Independent Grocer and the East Kootenay Foundation for Health (via the Starlite Campaign) to bring you the Juice FM Holiday Jam! This free fundraising event will be taking place December 14th from 6:00-10:00 pm at Spirit Square here in Creston (11th avenue at Canyon Street). We'll be shutting down 11th avenue to vehicular traffic to make room for TWO lives bands - Just Us from Creston, and Dawson Rutledge from Cranbrook! Pealow's Independent Grocer will be cooking up some hotdogs and hot chocolate, with all donations going to the Starlite Campaign, raising money for a $63,000 Coagulation Analyzer for our local hospital! We've called in a favour up at the North Pole, and Santa has agreed to come down for the night, along with some of his elves! It's sure to be an awesome evening, and we are so thrilled to be able to help raise some money for our local hospital. So grab your loose change, or whatever you can spare, and come on down to Spirit Square to celebrate the holiday season and the awesome town of Creston with me and my friends. I cannot wait to see you there!! |
