As I build my website, wait for my business cards, and get myself prepared for the upcoming LEAP! Barnraiser event on May 31st, I am filled with a sense of pride at how far I have come in my business over the last few weeks. From a baby idea, my business is blossoming into a reality, and while I am sure I would have made it happen on my own, I am so thankful for the assistance, reassurance and support from the LEAP! program and participants.
I have enjoyed networking, and meeting so many amazing people in and around Creston, and the value goes way beyond business value. As someone new to town, it has been exhilarating to get out there and talk to strangers. I have been given so much feedback and advice, I have had so many amazing conversations with so many amazing people, and I have fallen in love with this valley and what it has to offer. I am in awe of how much investment into people as resources I have seen. How much everyone wants to help for the benefit of the collective. It is inspiring, and unique, and welcoming.
As I get set to LEAP! into business, I hope I have adequately expressed my gratitude for the people I have met, and the ones I have yet to meet. I hope I will do this community justice in my attempt to showcase all there is here. I hope I can play a part into making Creston a "destination" so others can share in how wonderful this place is. And finally, I hope I can bring a little bit of sparkle to the people of Creston, and help to throw some amazing events.
