I didn't realize it was spring until yesterday, which was the day after the first day of spring. I saw the posts on Facebook, I sat on my deck, I spoke to people about how nice it is that it is still light out after 6:00pm, but I didn't make the connection until yesterday.

Here at AM Event Coordination, we have been so busy planning for summer, that I guess I forgot about this spring thing. Not that I'm complaining! We have so much coming up this summer, exciting events we're creating, fundraisers, weddings, anniversaries... we basically have one free weekend per month from now until the end of August, and then we just keep things rolling through October... and I'm not gonna lie, we've already started planning for Christmas!!

Ever the planner, I can't help but look ahead, and sometimes that means I forget to look back, or I forget to see what's happening right in front of me in the now. So before I forget everything that has happened, I want to recap the winter...

We had an awesome December at AM Event Coordination, which included some super fun events, like the Wreath Making Workshop at Morris Flowers, and the Juice FM Holiday Jam. I was also super lucky to have been invited to help plan a Christmas party or two, and somehow event found time to hold my own Ugly Sweater Christmas party, which filled my home with friends, laughter and some incredible sweaters. I spent Christmas in Las Vegas, and then headed to Minneapolis to catch a Vikings game, which was a memorial tour dedicated to my dad, and allowed me to spend some time with my family, because you only live once, so you may as well live!

January brought the Wedding Fair in Calgary, which was a blast, and I started searching for the perfect addition to my team here at AM Event Coordination. Interviews wrapped up as I was leaving for the Wedding Fair at St. Eugene Resort in Cranbrook, and before the middle of February, two amazing ladies joined the team: Frieda started the middle of February, and Sadie joined a couple of weeks later. We had a ton of fun planning the 10th Avenue Heart and Art event, which brought the community together in and around participating businesses on 10th Avenue. We also invested in an open-air Photo Booth, which has added to our offer, and we launched it at Jimmy's Pub with their Winter Blues event, it was a hit, and we had so much fun!

March has been full of planning, meetings, and getting Frieda and Sadie ready for summer events. We donated our time to the Midget Provincials Hockey Tournament, and all the teams had a blast playing with the Photo Booth!

And now we're sitting here, three of us crammed into my glitter office, getting ready to play with the Photo Booth ourselves, the windows open, and looking forward to everything we've got going on this summer.
